The Summer and Harvest racing festivals in Listowel remain one of the most important festivals in the racing calendar. These events take place annually drawing huge crowds from far and wide to the market town of Listowel along the Wild Atlantic Way

Listowel Racecourse is a horse racing venue in the town of Listowel, County Kerry, Ireland which stages both National Hunt and Flat racing. The course is flat and runs left-handed over an inner rectangular-shaped circuit measuring just over a mile, and a triangular outer circuit of a mile and a furlong.

The Kerry National Handicap Chase is the biggest race of the week while Ladies Day, held on Friday, attracts the largest crowd of sometimes of 26,000 people in the Harvest Festival.

The Listowel Supporters Club Lartigue Handicap Hurdle is another highlight of the week and the Listed Listowel Stakes is one of the bigger Flat races at the Festival. There is also a two-day meeting at Listowel on the June Bank Holiday weekend known as the Summer Festival.
